Individual psychotherapy is a space to share your personal thoughts, feelings and problems in a safe and confidential way. Together we will explore ways to improve your quality of life, overcome challenges and achieve psychological balance. The therapeutic process focuses on promoting personal growth, understanding yourself and finding more effective ways to deal with stress, anxiety or other difficulties.
Couples therapy is for partners who want to work on:
In couples therapy, I use a combination of therapeutic approaches that I adapt to the needs of both partners. I help create a space where you can talk openly, listen to each other and better understand not only yourself but also your partner. Together we can work to make your relationship stable, healthy and full of understanding.
FAQ
The first session of psychotherapy serves to get to know each other. You will get to know what brought you to me and we will talk about whether it is possible to work together, whether I can offer you what you are looking for. We agree on the course of future meetings and frequency together.
I will always try to ensure that we agree a goal for the meeting and then throughout the service we will reflect together on how the work together is going, how the change you are seeking is manifesting.
Yes, I recognise that the first session can be challenging for clients and I approach it as such.
The meeting is voluntary and you can end it at any time. If you are unsure if I can offer what you need, say so. I always appreciate honesty and openness. We can work through this and I may be able to refer you to a colleague or other service if appropriate.
If you decide to work with me, I’ll send you an introductory email that clearly explains how things work when working with me.

Couples therapy is suitable for all couples who feel that their relationship needs to change, communicate better or learn a different approach to overcoming difficulties. Couples therapy can be useful for long term problems as well as in situations where you want to work on prevention and relationship development.
The length of therapy is individual and depends on your needs and goals. Some couples might only need a few sessions to address a specific issue, while others work on long-term relationship development. On average, couples undergo several months of therapy with a frequency of once a week or less often.
If you need to discontinue therapy for any reason, it is important to inform in a timely manner. Ideally, we would plan together how to end or temporarily interrupt the therapeutic process. Discontinuing therapy can be part of your development and you can return whenever you need to.
At the same time, it is good to mention that I have many clients who are traveling abroad for work, for example. In that case, we move to an online environment and vary between online therapy and face-to-face sessions.
It is common that one partner may initially have doubts about couples therapy. We can discuss your concerns together and look for ways to create a safe space for both partners to feel comfortable and engaged in therapy. At the same time, it should be said that for therapy to be successful, both need to be present voluntarily.
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of my work and I place great importance on it. Everything you share in couples therapy remains strictly confidential and subject to a policy of confidentiality. Your personal data and information you disclose in therapy will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except in situations dictated by law (such as in the case of imminent danger).
I will make sure that all communications and information are as protected as possible. Therapies are conducted in a secure environment, and when conducted online, I use platforms such as FaceTime and Google Meet that meet high standards of encryption and security.
Your trust is crucial to me and my goal is to ensure that every aspect of our collaboration is as safe and confidential as possible.
Individual therapy focuses on personal growth and solving individual problems. Couples therapy focuses on the relationship as a whole, on communication and cooperation between partners. The two approaches can be complementary and can help in both individual development and relationship strengthening.
Therapy is a process that requires time and effort from both partners. If you feel that therapy is not producing results, we can look at the reasons together and adapt the approach to best suit your needs. Therapy is collaborative and if you are not feeling progress, we can consider a change in approach together or I will be happy to recommend another therapist.
Yes, couples therapy can include individual issues that impact your relationship, such as stress, anxiety, personal trauma, or other life difficulties. The goal is always to improve the dynamic between the partners and find ways to better manage situations that affect your relationship.
